Replica Watch Makers Should Stop Making Philip Stein Knockoffs!

Okay, so here’s my dilemma… It all started when I bought my first Philip Stein Teslar watch back in 2004.  I loved my new watch so much that I bought a diamond cocktail version of it last Christmas.  My two Philip Stein timepieces are not only the nicest ones I’ve ever owned, they have had another very positive effect on me.

I used to let my stress level build up and it would affect the way I treated my husband and daughters.  I didn’t realize this at the time, but they were all secretly hoping I would start taking an anti-anxiety prescription and just calm down.  Needless to say, when my new Philip Stein watch made me so much calmer, they were all noticeably relieved.  Even my coworkers noticed a difference in my mood, and I feel so much happier and full of life – probably because I’m able to sleep so much more soundly with my stress level at an all-time low.

Here’s my dilemma.  I suggested we buy a new Philip Stein watch for my boss as a birthday gift this year.  A coworker of mine took care of the purchase and we all chipped in, but I expected my share to be more than $10.  When I asked her about it, she said she bought it online for under $100.  I should have known right then and there that it was a Teslar scam and told her to take it back. Now I’m not sure what to do.

When I first bought my watches, a few people mentioned they had heard about a “Philip Stein watch scam” when showed them my new watch.  They mentioned there were some replica watch companies who were passing off fake Philip Stein watches for the real thing.

My boss has been wearing her fake Philip Stein for a few months, not knowing it’s really a knockoff.  She keeps telling me she’s noticed no difference in her stress level, but I don’t have the heart to tell her it’s an imposter watch.  What would she think of us if she found out we bought her a fake watch for her birthday?  A couple times I’ve even noticed her staring at mine when I’m in her office.  I could be paranoid, but it seems like she’s trying to figure out why my watch looks so much more luxurious.

It may be time to come clean with my boss, but I wish there was something I could do about the perpetrators of these scams.  They shouldn’t be allowed to get away with this!
